There's a caveat. Suppose you decide that the entire Pouch needs to be, say, an inch taller in order to zip it shut over the Tombow Brush Markers. You'd need to add 1" to the height of everything associated with the walls of the Cup i.e. the Outer Cup, the Cup Lining, and the Pocket.

When the Pouch is finished, you'll find that the Pouch is 1" taller overall, and the extra height is entirely in the Cup, which is good, because you'd want a taller container to hold taller markers so they don't tip over. However, the zippered Top portion, being left as is, will now slide down and come to rest 1" higher than it would for the original Pouch. You might be fine with this, or you might want it to slide a little lower.

In which case, you might want to increase the height of the Outer Top and Top Lining accordingly. Especially if the adjustment you're making is substantial (e.g. more than the 1" for argument's sake).

Hope this is useful!

LiErLiErhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13022645291278425282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-11853071273084965802019-08-11T18:30:50.576-05:002019-08-11T18:30:50.576-05:00Hi Lier! If I wanted to make the pouch slightly taller to accommodate Tombow brush markers, would you recommend that I add length to the outer cup or the inner one? Looks like they managed to get some from their suppliers after I asked for it. I bought 1 metre of each colour so should be good for future pop pouches.
The shower curtaining frays a lot but does work.
I also used waterproof fabric on one but it was really hard to sew. The resulting pouch was my favourite though!SewRuthiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09277062926597842242noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-626060830257106492019-04-29T15:46:20.805-05:002019-04-29T15:46:20.805-05:00I think that thin plastic placemats (such as the o...I think that thin plastic placemats (such as the ones I bought some time ago from IKEA) could be a good replacement for template plastic, but since I never saw template plastic I can't be sure... I've only used the crazy fraying nylon. I also love the idea of using a thin shower curtain - such great problem solving.MaryAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13253503049272771754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-57240695366353676272019-04-29T12:16:38.924-05:002019-04-29T12:16:38.924-05:00I'm looking forward to making Pop Pouches for ...I'm looking forward to making Pop Pouches for all the littles in my family. You don't just share a pattern or a tutorial - you educate your readers. It's one of the things I have most enjoyed about reading your blog over the years. Katie Mnoreply@blogger.com
