Birthdays were celebrations, duly weighed in favour of the birthday girl, and there was nothing, no game, no event which would take the attention away from her. Groveling on the ground, jostling, getting hurt, for a few petty candies? Unheard of! And that is why I just love this pinata!Swatihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17173996390154408845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-51522437535556150822012-11-04T15:17:18.180-06:002012-11-04T15:17:18.180-06:00This is my kind of pinata! Batman and non-violent seems a bit odd to me, but it all makes sense to my 4yo - and I'm glad he doesn't like fighting!MaryAnnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13253503049272771754noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-69718837235794207242012-11-02T22:48:32.430-05:002012-11-02T22:48:32.430-05:00Brilliant! Yeah sure, mostly everyone got to hit it, but it just got rougher and scarier as it came round to the teenagers. Then of course, the bigger kids were closer to the feeding frenzy and basically slaughtered the smaller ones.Phaedrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01577962823881205310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-12881422780658711792012-11-02T17:22:36.426-05:002012-11-02T17:22:36.426-05:00I love the idea of these pacifist pinatas and find...I love the idea of these pacifist pinatas and find them hysterical. In my family our Thanksgiving pinata tradition was basically an opportunity to prove to the pack of cousins that were there, that you were tough enough to hang'. There was definitely no shying away from the pinata stick.<br />I just learned of an interesting here in Japan where kids are spun around and use a stick(while blindfolded) to whack a watermelon. When the watermelon gets cracked open, they cut it up and share. A little feistier than the pinata pie, but at least there's no candy scramble at the end....Amber @ The Cardboard Collectivehttp://www.thecardboardcollective.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-54768423436810048902012-11-02T14:15:37.824-05:002012-11-02T14:15:37.824-05:00I don't recall ever getting to hit a regular p...I don't recall ever getting to hit a regular pinata, but I loved suspense as a kid. I know a bunch of kids who would prefer this version though... as equal and calm as a pinata can be. And still fun. =)Charityhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241665927426974819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-85612395075636667772012-11-02T10:21:43.922-05:002012-11-02T10:21:43.922-05:00Oh, no... We're also having a candy bar (kids' idea)! If we're going to have a sugar high, we might as well do it in style!LiErhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13022645291278425282noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-34074445024670050382012-11-02T10:01:35.431-05:002012-11-02T10:01:35.431-05:00That's quite a pie!
