It totally reminds me of your clever cardboard constructions, but so cool to see you engrossed in the problem solving involved with wood and found objects. Lucky kid who gets to play with this excellent but simple, sturdy toy! We invite all our friends and put out glue guns and the drill and create a giant mess. People are so creative and come up with the most amazing things. It's my FAVORITE party of the year and the tree has lots of memories, which I agree are such a pleasure to look at. My kids are away now on the weekend that we do it so it's changing some - I miss them and their friends - but we're still doing it!Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04112532620730215510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-48963468325785047412024-02-21T16:51:08.303-06:002024-02-21T16:51:08.303-06:00Love this!Love this!Erikahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04112532620730215510noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-56179470312058143262024-01-23T07:27:12.375-06:002024-01-23T07:27:12.375-06:00That is so sweet - I love the bunny :)That is so sweet - I love the bunny :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-84076251968951432242024-01-20T11:16:13.379-06:002024-01-20T11:16:13.379-06:00My husband and I don't have any kids but we of...My husband and I don't have any kids but we often do holiday crafts together (chocolate bunny making contest! ) and have one Christmas tradition. We always walk the mile to St Pascal's tree lot to pick out our tree any carry it home on our shoulders. We bring battery powered lights to decorate the tree before bringing it home. We usually get a couple of honks and yells. So much fun! I have felt ornaments that my paternal grandmother made for each of us kids every year when in school. I cherish them so much. They will always have a place on the tree. shananoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4540761711646097949.post-58714607474826503792024-01-18T11:03:07.263-06:002024-01-18T11:03:07.263-06:00Rosemary B here: I adore this idea!

Even in the cost of groceries and current events, it's a snapshot of that moment in time and who you were and what your life was, which is impossible to capture otherwise in photos or videos or whatever the latest social media platform is. And yes, I agree that we should print out photos, because -and how true - they'd just stay on our phones, vulnerable to loss and crowding out by more recent ones. And even in a single year, so much happens that come next Christmas, it will feel like a long time ago. Thank you for sharing your traditions!LiErhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13022645291278425282noreply@blogger.com
