"Guess The Giveaway" Giveaway - Clue I

Working on something right now that I thought I'd have some fun with. I'll show you a photo each day for the next three days, and you try and guess what it is. The winner will win part of the thing I'm making.

It's so vague! I love it!

To enter, leave a comment in any of the three posts, telling me what you think it is that I'm making.
  • Be as detailed as you like.
  • Submit as many tries (comments) as you like.
  • Make sure you have an email address connected to your comment at which you can be contacted.
  • Anonymous comments will be instantly disqualified.
To give everyone a fair chance at privacy, I will only publish the day's comments at the end of each day. In other words, it will look as if Blogger threw your comments into a black hole, but in actuality they will all appear (listed in the order they were submitted) at the end of the day.

When the three days are over, I'll pick the first comment that most fully/closely/accurately guesses what I'm working on. If after three days no one has come anywhere close to the right answer, I'll pick whichever comment is the funniest/cleverest/I enjoyed the most. I'll also confess publicly what I've been making, and show you the thing that's being given away.

Ready to play?

Here is Clue #1:

P.S. If it turns out to be so laughably easy that everyone guesses it on Day #1, I might end the giveaway prematurely and just pick the first commenter, OK?

Update: The giveaway is closed. We have a winner!

  1. Is it a pig? (this part would be the snout)

  6. I can't really put here what I think they look like other than an intimate part of a woman's body! Have you moved into fabric porn?!

  7. ooh fun!

my guess: (keeping with the farm theme) piglets!

(Btw I finished a chicken last night. It was great fun to do, and I'm really pleased with it. As is the small boy in our house. And his dad. I may have to make one for him too. :) Do you have a flickr group for photos of the things made from your patterns?)

  12. Ok - all I see is nipples :)
And therefore the only thing I can think of is a play breastfeeding vest.

  13. Well, I can see right away that these are inserts for your bra - but what you are concocting to add to it, I'll have to wait and see!!! (just kidding, of course - but that was what struck me when I saw them - LOL)

  14. I guess a Mummy pig & there'll be piglets too!
    Fun!!!

  15. What a fun game! The 1st thought that pops into my head with this picture is nipples. For pigs. LOL! Maybe I'm stuck on your farm theme with the chickens. It could just as easily be something polka dotted for easter or some sort of baked good.

  16. Miniature summer flower/vegetable garden.

    Earlene at ewilliams207@gmail.com

  17. Sorry but my first thought was a bosom... with easter coming Ill think it will be something easterly...The eyes of a bunny or flowers...

    ReplyDelete
  18. OK, I will guess that these are pink bunny eyes. or a prop from your new book "Pink Eggs and Ham." Or, forgive me if I'm crazy, are they um, "equipment" for nursing dolls?
Regardless, I can't wait to see what you make :-)
and, how do you get an email to be associated with a comment? I'm just a bit clueless.

  19. Maybe blemishes or chicken pox for the Owie dolls?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm going to say those look like pig noses!

  22. A pig? That would be cute and barnyard-ish.

  23. I have been silently following you for some time now (I know this sounded creepy - I meant following your blog) and I hope you don't mind my taking a shot here. First I thought if was part of a piggy (induced by the colour)but writing this now I am not sure about it! :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. they are going to be tits-badges!

    ReplyDelete
  25. um...I hesitate to say is it a big sow with some baby piggies? Sorry but I can't think of anything but nipples when I see those!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hmmm. I don't think this is obvious at all-- I also stink at this kind of thing:) First thing that came to mind was some type of candy???--lame guess. sorry.

    ReplyDelete
  27. How fun! Well, I won't say the first thing that popped into my head because this is a family blog. So my first guess is chicken pox for the Owie Dolls. Are you making different diseases for them to catch?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hmm. Tricky. One of the baby charities over here had a thing last year where people made knitted breasts to raise money (I know... deeply bizarre. If I knew all the details, it would probably make sense. Or not.) Anyway, are they litle breasts for a similar kind of competition?

    ReplyDelete
  29. felt cupcakes! or pink eggs and ham! Great post

    ReplyDelete
  30. hum... pink on pink. my first thought was nipples on pigs, I guess from the chicken naturally pigs would be next. I don't think you would display nipples as a craft clue so... I have to guess cupcake tops. That sounds more realistic. So I'm going with cupcake or cupcake tops.

  31. Surely what I'm thinking is not what you're making! Maybe I'm too close to having breastfed two babies, but....

  34. stuffed mama pig?

    eadelarm@yahoo.com

  35. Ack! Those look like boobies! (I can't believe you're making boobies. It must be something else.) Love your vague-ness, Lier. This game sounds fun!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I am a nursing mom to a 6 month old so I can't help thinking this photo looks like a bunch of boobs and nipples! So, my guess is that you are making wonderfully adorable nursing dolls (and the baby will velcro to the mommy at just the right spot). :)
P.S. If I'm right, my 3 year old would have a blast with it!

    ReplyDelete
  37. um, i'll have to go with my first instinct and say they look like little boobies. trying to figure out what the rest of the project might be...

  38. A pink squid with those being the suckers. (suckers?)

    ReplyDelete
  39. are you making a mother pig & piglets to keep your chickens company? The photo looks like nipples to me, am I allowed to type nipples on a family friendly blog? Oh well, I guess i just did twice

  40. Okay, so my first thought was that it was a pink Easter bunny and these were the paw prints. BUT, that seems pretty out of character for you, so as a second guess I'll say a fabric tea set (for babies, maybe?) and these are the plates? I have no idea, can you tell? But, I think it's a fun game and am looking forward to your next clue! =)

  41. Ok I am a going to have to guess Mama Pig. I am a breastfeeding peer councelor so I am afraid my mind tends to run in a mamory direction. :o)

  45. Cupcakes! Love & blessings from NC!
    EmptyNestTales@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  46. My first thought was a pig (continuing the barnyard theme) but that would be two dots per circle (for the nose). Maybe flowers? That seems too obvious though. Candies? OK, really I have no idea but I can't wait to find out. (Really, we have to wait 3 days?)

    ReplyDelete
  47. OK, first response when I saw it was nipples, but that can't be right. So, how about ice cream?

    ReplyDelete
  48. Are you making piggies? M

    ReplyDelete
  49. Those look like cute little pig snouts, though I'm a little curious how you'll get them rounded.

    ReplyDelete
  50. You're making one of those kids table forts out of felt.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I just love your blog! It was the blod that started me looking around for more blogs and blogging myself. It also started my real "need" for a machine of my own.

I am going to have to say a pig? In going with the barnyard theme?

  53. something that has six nipples...? I can't even begin to imagine - so I googled it. BIG MISTAKE. Cat's have six nipples... ok, I'm going to come back tomorrow, and erase my internet memory cache just in case!!!!

Oh, btw, I love the chicken idea, with eggs and all. It's so cool. If there weren't so many things going on right now, I might actually be brave enough to attempt making one for K. And just in time to insert chocolate eggs too!
