World Nutella Day

It's today and I almost missed it. If not for Natalie (thank you! Thank you!), who wrote to tell me about it, I would've missed it. I didn't even know it was elevated in other people's lives to this level of greatness. I thought it was just me, loving it - secretly in the beginning, and now loudly and proudly.

All hail the brown jar of supreme sustenance:

Today is your day!

In honor of today, I hereby resurrect an old tribute to your goodness - my self portrait:

P.S. Check out the kinds of nutella lovers in this list here. Quite good, except they forgot #51: The IV drip and #52: The Straw. Tsk. Clearly I am still Queen. Fall on your knees.

  5. I had no idea either about today. And this post also reminded me -- I forgot to tell you what I got for Christmas from my mom: a 1.3 kg jar of Nutella! It's HUGE!!! And already half empty. But I did have some help...

  6. How did I not know this?? I am the Nutella Queen of my family! We had a contest a couple years ago to see who could eat their brand new jar of Nutella the fastest. I was pregnant and... well... it took me less than a week. MUCH less....

All I can say is: Ritz crackers + Nutella = PURE HEAVEN!

  8. I love Nutella too! Yummy, yummy. Nutella, a spoon, and a good movie. What more could a girl ask for? I have a great recipe for Nutella cupcakes here if you are interested.

Sorry I couldn't figure out how to link the post directly in this comment. It is late and I am lazy.

  10. All hail the nutella! It is the great tamer of my attitude... though mostly eaten with a spoon, it is frequently made into smores (graham crakers, marshmellow fluff and nutella), spooned onto ice cream, and even added to smoothies. I'm sorry I missed it's special day yesterday, especially as I was particularily irritable all day.... Have always LOVED your nutella drip drawing!

  11. In a word: NUTS!

ps. You DO NOT EVER have curlers in your hair! (but I get the symbolism) :D

  15. I miss those little glasses with Spongebob/Bart Simpson/Chip and Dale that the nutella used to come in - complete with white plastic cap. They were all that kept me sane during report-writing season... A jar and a large spoon always got me through those (almost) all-nighters!

  17. Oh good lord, you are hilarious! You really should do more drawings. I love them.

(Yes, I'm catching up on my reading. One of my promises to myself to keep me sane - I'm not allowed to read blogs every day.)
