Three Limericks

A mother once looked at her floor
And said, "I'm SO done with this chore -
I scrub every night
'Till sparkling and bright;
Next day it's as gross as before!"

A mother and child sat to play
The same game for the sixth time that day.
And read the same book
(Three hours it took)
Twelve rounds, as exhausted she lay.

Of that floor, years later, ('tis said)
The child had no memory; instead
He remembers the way
She smiled as they played
And the warmth of her arms as they read.

Some repetitive tasks yield much better dividends than other repetitive tasks, y'know? 'Just sayin'.

Happy Mother's Day, fellow moms.
