Why Fight It

when you should just buy it?

Ikat, I mean.
Even though it is ikat print, not real ikat.
Which is how you know ikat is superior
i.e. when fabric manufacturers
make print facsimiles of the real thing
so it can be available to the common folk like me.

Never mind that I went to the fabric store today
solely for a card of gold satin bias trim,
with the resolution to "not buy anything else. Period."
Ah, well.

I will sew some ikat things for you soon and put them in the shop.
After all, good things are meant to be shared.

P.S. Naturally, I came home without the card of gold satin bias trim.

    1. Don't I know it :( Maybe I'll have better luck at another store, one without ikat in it.

  2. Love it, of course!
I just added a couple of ikat prints (not the real ones, unfortunately) to my stash as well - it's so beautiful!

Can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten on my bag. Especially from my fashion-conscious friends. Thank you for making such beautiful things, LiEr.

  6. Wow, Awesome Fabric. Now what are you going to do with it? I have so much fabric that I fell in love with and now don't know what to do with it. Yep, every once in a while I get inspiration for my fav fabrics, but not real often.
