This Year's Palettes

seem to be Ocean

and Winter Woods.

It's Halloween costume time again.

And in the grand tradition of procrastinating, I'm taking photos of my fabric acquisitions and blogging about them. I tell myself it's so the entire internet can hold me accountable for turning them into costumes by the end of the month.

Hello, my name is LiEr and I bought enough fabric to clothe an entire country.

And I blog about it instead of actually sewing with it because I am a procrastinataholic.

Heaven forbid that you guys let me get away with this.

P.S. You might be thinking, "Wait - doesn't she have three children? What happened to the third palette?" It's there right at the top of the pile in the last photo - satin and polartec 300 in Summer Sky. Someone ordered a full Beauxbaton suit, including the hat (but - thank the stars - not the shoes).

  2. Ha! I too have been just staring at my stack of Halloween costume fabric. We are doing Harry Potter as well, but mine are going as Hedwig and Errol. I just can't commit on how I want to structure the wings, which is keeping me from taking the first step. Best of luck!

  3. My Harry Potter obsessed daughter would be horrified to know that I missed your Beauxbaton reference until I saw JerseyGirl's comment... My children have requested to re-wear costumes from previous years. Works for me!

  4. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who is procrastinating! I've had my fabric since May, acquired as part of Hancock Fabrics going out business sale. I get to make another (my 8th) Pokemon (Torracat). I can't wait to see your girls' costumes!

  5. Exciting! I'm well into my Halloween costume making (it helped that my family all left on fall break last week), but not far enough--we have a Trunk or Treat event to go to on Saturday.
