Home Depot; Aisle 43

Move over, Michaels/JoAnn Fabrics/Hobby Lobby.
It is official - Home Depot is now the place to go for crafts.

P.S. I need to write a sequel to this post - called How To Shop For Hardware With Small Children. There was way too much loud singing and playing in the store today. Waaaaay too much.

  1. Sometimes there's not enough fun being had in those places. Can't wait to see what this stuff turns into!

Please do write that sequel post - the fabric shopping one has to be one of my favourite posts!

And I'd love to see a post on how to shop with kids at the hardware store. We've taken quite a few family trips there lately (and yes, I've picked up a few craft supplies myself!).

  6. My favourite places to browse/shop, in order of preference are:
    1. haberdashery
    2. hardware store
    3. stationery store
    4. fabric store
    (and the list goes on...)

Before I rediscovered sewing, the hardware store was tops on the list ( I think I wrote about that somewhere...). So yes, I understand.

kekeke, I know what those pipes are for!

  7. Love it! We hang out at Lowe's a lot! My girls get paint stirring sticks to act like they are deer, unicorns, to use as drumsticks, and for poking each other. They love it. Write a post! I love the fabric store one!
