Cardboard On The 'Net

I'm gearing up for the Earth Day twitter party this Friday, even if I'm on a cardboard hiatus (boo). I may be sewing, but my eyes are wandering all too often to the cabinet in which is stored my glue gun. My mind is storing up a host of new cardboard project ideas and my heart just misses those brown sheets of goodness that the children (not on cardboard hiatus) are hacking into - and inviting their friends to come over and hack into. Who invited you? I want to snap at them, but I tell myself that it's the blooming cardboard's fault - an addiction waiting to happen. No wonder the entire neighborhood is seeping into our home to get a taste of it. And I, going cold turkey, am not doing so good.

I'll share the sewing projects soon - first must take photos - but for now, enjoy some cardboard pins, videos and links! And thank you, lovely, lovely readers and fellow cardboard fans, for sending them my way!

Caine's Cardboard Arcade - a nine year old boy who made a cardboard arcade. He is my hero. Note to self: do not let the girls see this, as we do not have space in the house/garage for copying it. It's gone viral so you've probably already seen it a hundred times all over the internet, but just in case you haven't.

Cardboard cathedral planned in New Zealand. A recyclable church! Awesome.

  2. Just to let you know... When I was in Dallas last Monday on the way to see the Rangers play, I passed a cardboard warehouse (some 3 letter acronym name) and thought of you. :)
