Slate & Lagoon

Back to sewing.

Some piping and top-stitching, and one mammoth button.

I'm doing a strap experiment. See? Tubular!

I'm not sure if I like the print or not. It's a bit floral and feminine. I might have to tone it down with embroidery. And more piping.

P.S. Clean forgot that I'm supposed to share about that piñata. Only just remembered. Where did I put the photos? Gotta find those photos.

P.P.S. Realized that reading Quantum Physics reminds me a lot of this modern sewing movement going on now. Who would've thought it? I must write about this soon.

  1. Yo también he probado con estas asas tubulares y me gustan... pero no sé si son realmente cómodas.

  3. hmmm... the print is a little feminine but there's not very much of it - I think it'll work!

Very interested to read your thoughts on Quantum Physics & the modern sewing movement.... must go Google Quantum Physics...

  4. Well, I loved the prints! and I thought you made quite a tasteful matching with the piping color and the buttons. But it may be a good idea to use the wrong side of the fabric at some point in order to "tone down" the floral as well.
I'd love to see how your project finishes :D

  5. Love that you plan to tone down the femininity with embroidery!

Very curious about the Quantum Physics sewing relationship...

  6. LiEr, you inspired me to read some physics-y stuff again. I got Mr. Tompkins out of the library (they didn't have Alice in Quantumland!!) and I'm going to give it a shot. It's been about 7 years since my last QM course, so we'll see how it goes!
