The Little One-Yard Wonders Book was officially released on June 3 and my copy arrived two days ago.
Here it is, packed with possibilities for all kinds of fun making.
See?
Almost 60 seamstresses contributed to this book. I don't know how many projects there are (yet) because, believe it or not, I haven't even flipped through it. The other family members in our house have, though. Wretchedly, I've been so busy this past week that I haven't even had the time to look at it, apart from the few seconds after it was brought in from the mailbox and everyone wanted to see which projects were mine. So I looked in the contents, found the necessary pages, and showed them.
I haven't touched it since :(
And then I resumed supper, chores, and all the other things that were standing impatiently in my to-do list:
Things like this:
and this:
and this (it's cardboard! Eee!):
and this:
I'll write a book review for you, to redeem myself in the coming weeks!
And now, back to my to-do list. This afternoon's Fun-tivity is feeding fish at the park with Katydid, followed by ice cream. Over and out!
How I do love that little house!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on being published!
Congrats to you for being in what appears to be a book filled with fun! I can relate to the crazy-busy week. Hopefully things will slow down enough so you CAN enjoy that book! But of course feeding fish and ice cream should come first! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's really great that you are in a book, but what I'm most excited about is that cardboard nightstand. That is AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteGreat ! Tomorrow ? I never went to a book launch, but it might very well be the first time then. I love this store. Congratulations !
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to tell you that when i see my list of emails, and your post is one of them, i always click it first before any other mail. Thanks for putting yourself out there and having a blog and sharing your talents!

I am SO excited about this book! Your teacher gifts this year look like something I could pull together. And your cardboard nightstand is brilliant!
ReplyDeleteWaauw! Looks great! Will the book be available in Singapore?
ReplyDeleteJust bought the book, can't wait to have it in my hands, it seems so full of great projects!
ReplyDeleteBut, really, I NEED a nightstand... is that for sale too?
Chiara: It is, actually. More details soon!
DeleteLiEr, congrats on the book! I can't wait to hear more.
ReplyDeleteWas over The Kitchn just now and thought immediately of you - apparently people do more with Nutella than eat it straight out of the jar!! Depending on how much you like brownies and the size of your Costco Nutella jars, this is dangerous:

Thank you, Margo! And oh, that nutella recipe is indeed dangerous. Help. And we do love our brownies. The chocolatey-er, the better.
DeleteOoooo, congratulations! And agreed--the nightstand is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jess! The nightstand will be blogged soon!
