2 Laptop case for husband (done). 3 Sweater dress in vomit-yellow oatmeal (in progress). 4 Gunmetal faux leather jacket (in head). 5 Various alterations for entire family (in Permanent Procrastination Pile and daily added to their number).
I LOVE your wallets! And can't wait to see the rest (except for maybe that sweater dress 😝). I'll be working hastily (or maybe my usual pokily) on a tote bag to carry 2 American Girl dolls. The plan is in place (till I change my mind - again)! I don't dare procrastinate any longer. Or maybe I could.....
Hee, hee, hee, thanks for making my weekend a little brighter, you can show us the sweater dress much later........and mending pile is gone....I have started to give them a 3 strike rule,,,then the piece of clothing is mine to do whatever I want with.......
Let's see: sew new zippers into 3 jackets, continue refining chopper (mitten) pattern, get back to fitting/drafting swimming shorts for me before yet another summer comes & goes without them, mend children's pants before they are outgrown, finish 2014 Halloween costume for 2015, finish hand-sewing the dratted silk lining into the knitted wool cardi/jacket thing (and hopefully find that it looks and feels as nice in practice as it did in theory), and (hallelujah!) my sweater/jacket liner rehashing went off with only one hitch! Uff da. Looks like so much when I write it down... :)
Jenny: uffda, indeed. Don't put deadlines on any of them so that when you do finish them in, say, 10 years' time, you can say, "Whoa! I'm ahead of schedule!" That said, quite a few of those projects sound like they're almost-done or little-to-do, so don't give up! You'll reach the end of your pile yet!
• Redraft the Granville shirt again. Ponder whether I can bribe LiEr to come to Malibu and help me with fit. I have both sunshine and Nutella.
ReplyDeleteMy alteration/mend pile is so backed up the kids have outgrown them.

ReplyDeleteBrava, MaryAnne! Last year we handmade ours, and it WAS fun. We don't handmake them every year, so last year was a treat for us.
