Lauren: for a brief, insane moment, I considered making ear slits. Or casing the ears within the leaves. Then I stamped on my own foot and returned to reality.
That wittle face peeking out is so cute! Hmm, will the carrot-lovie sort of stick to the big bunny and be easy to carry? Or attach by a ribbon around the neck or arm so it doesn't get dropped in all the candy-gathering excitement of the night? A pocket for the carrot-lovie to stick out of? Maybe just rest inside the bag with all the other candy...
Ruth: we hadn't thought through the logistics! Maybe the child will have her hands so full of carrying the carrot-bunny that she won't be able to collect candy, too. Hahaha!
You inspire me so much. I don't have a comfortable place to watch tv, and computing is difficult because of cast on arm. I think about all the started projects and how i really do love sewing all the time. I so hope in a month when i have right hand back that they will no longer see my back at the computer, but my face eerily lighted by the sewing machine light, lol. thank you. and i think every toy animal should have a costume. :-)
Lisa: I'm sorry that you don't have the use of that arm (yet) - I hope it gets better pronto so you can be back to doing what you love. I also hope your cast gets you out of the more odious household chores, though!
Curator: full steam ahead! Let's set our sights on 10/31 (or 10/30, in my case, because that's when the school fall parties are and when the kids need their costumes)! You can do it! Go! Go! Go!
Oh my goodness it's so perfect :) lol

ReplyDeleteabsolutely wonderfully gorgeous
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
ReplyDeleteThat's HILARIOUS! The *only* thing that would make it funnier is if the ears stuck up beside the leaves.

DeleteIt's just one of the cutest things I've ever seen: a stuffed bunny dressed as a carrot =)
ReplyDeleteI madly adore this! You are a wonderful mom!
ReplyDeleteSo CUTE! The only thing cuter will be my Grand babies carrying one each on Halloween! :)
ReplyDeleteFound this really funny!!!!
ReplyDelete100% cute! You are amazing. Wish I could come up with these creative and well made costumes. Your daughters are lucky to have such a wonderful mother.
ReplyDeleteThis was so funny I had to show my husband. Then outline to him that I'm sure that the carrot is fully lined with no exposed seams :)
ReplyDeleteAnonymous: unfortunately, this particular costume isn't fully lined, and does have exposed seams on the WS!
DeleteFunnily enough I have 'rabbited' (haha) on enough about your blog and sewing awesomeness that he knows what I mean by 'exposed seams'!
DeleteCheers,
Irene
that so funny :) well done
ReplyDeleteHaha! So cute. The real question is, will bunny be warm enough in chilly Minnesota this Halloween? You are a great mum!
ReplyDeleteHaha! So cute. Did you ensure Bunny will be warm enough this Halloween? You are a great mum!
ReplyDeleteI do have to ask: How will bunny walk? Lol!
ReplyDeleteAwww...
ReplyDeleteThat looks sooo cool. You're so great.
ReplyDeleteGuess bunny wants to go as a carrot all through the year.
Spot. On!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing! You are one insane mom. I wish I could produce even a fraction of what you do.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!! Adorable idea your daughter had, fantastic that you encourage it.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love! I'm in my own mad dash to finish my son's costume. Can't wait for your final reveal!
