Fish

Just one photo today: my patchwork fish, made with random scraps, in a color combination probably not found in nature. Never mind. I wanted to show you his lips.

It's called double piping. Or, more accurately, regular single piping stacked twice. No need for a special double-piping foot - just a zipper foot will work just fine. I'll show you how to make that in the pattern, too. And then you can add kissy lips to all your stuffed animals.

  4. This is the one I will make five of, a chance to use up scraps from the getting difficult to close fleece scrap bin! Just adorable.

  5. I want to see the kissy lipped sheep and sharks and other weird hybrid critters now.

  6. He may be made of scraps, but he is my favorite so far! He goes to the top of the class and he has had some very stiff competition.
