Rabbit

You must have seen this one coming!

With Kate on the Included Species List negotiations committee?

Obviously, it was a done deal.

This bunny was another simple variation on the base template - standard limbs, a cottontail, and ears. And fur, although it can also be made in regular fleece.

It suddenly occurred to me that no one really knows how big these animals are. So here are some shots of Kate with the rabbit.

Did you imagine it was tiny?

Nah. We wanted it to be a good size for hugging!

    1. Bunny has nothing to fear. Kate is unwaveringly faithful to her best friends. Even in the face of newer, younger, fluffier models.

  2. Thanks for the perspective shot. I imagined they were a bit smaller. Definitely a good sized bunny! Very cute.

  3. These are so cute! Do you think they would be make able for a 6 year old (with help of course!)?

    1. Sew little time: yes, if your 6-year-old can sew curved seams by her/himself. And she'd/he'd need a fair bit of hand-holding.

    2. Thanks. I think she would really love to make these. I would definitely need to help. She's not yet able to use the machine completely on her own (visions of stitched fingers!)

  6. Thank you for the perspective shots! I was just going to ask about that after the delightful froggie post. I kept wavering between huge (like half again as big) and about this size. The fabrics do help a little bit on gauging size, but fleece textures can really vary!
LOVE all the animals, though I think the penguin and the frog are my favorites thus far.

  7. Appreciate these being on the larger size. Am in the middle of making 5 of your previous bunny pattern...very sweet but fiddly, for me anyway.

Looking forward to the release of the pattern. I like the idea of being able to make various species from one pattern. Thank you for this. Great project for this endless winter.
