I thought "Winnie the Pooh" when I first saw it (my 8-year-old set the bunny up). And my first reaction was to burst into tears. I didn't, but I was close.
You have more restraint than I... I would have most definitely been a blubbering fool lol... My oldest is gonna be a senior next year and he found his old "Bear In The Big Blue House" Bear doll ( i'm pretty sure I just dated myself right there LOL) and asked me if I wanted to keep it or he was going to throw it away. After a lot of tears I kept it, I'm pretty sure I scarred my son for life because he had no clue what my problem was, But hey its part of our job as a parent to give them something to tell their future therapists, right??? LOL
Awe, that is just so sweet. I love it when I walk into the room and find my 5yo son playing with something that I made rather than all the shop-bought toys, it makes my heart go all gooey!
What a great moment captured. Reminds me of (and forgive me here cuz I'm paraphrasing from memory): "Promise you'll never forget me, not even when I'm one hundred." "How old will I be then?" "Ninety - nine."
That's an awesome picture... Although it looks like a carefree bunny with a balloon, It has an underlying sadness to it...

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
Oh dear, yes - the idea of forgetting someone. Thank you for the quote. It would be the perfect caption.
DeleteAww... Bunny! How sweet!
ReplyDeleteThat is some excellent balancing going on there.
ReplyDeleteBunny sure does show signs of being well loved.
ReplyDeleteI was already feeling melancholy today, and now I am sobbing. What a sweet picture of bunny.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry, Mary! It made me very sad, too.
DeleteWhat's bunny's name?
ReplyDeleteIt's Bunny, believe it or not!
DeleteYes it is fleeting. My baby just graduated high school. The bunny makes me feel bitter sweet.
