Sheep

Bewildered.

Remember Little Bo Peep's sheep?

I always think of sheep as having these vacuous eyes, even though real sheep look more sleepy and disengaged than shell-shocked.

This one is just plain discombobulated.

You can almost see the thought bubble above him saying, "Whoa! Whasgoinon?"

Poor lamb. He needs someone to pick him up and let him know everything is gonna be aaaalriiiiiight.

Totally unrelated: are you seeing Yoda? I'm seeing Yoda. And when I show you the critters with the tail extensions, I'm betting you'll see Jabba the Hutt. Mmmmm-hmm.

  1. We've raised sheep in the past, too, and even though they didn't have quite that look on their faces, they certainly could 'act' that way! Yours looks like he'd be very easy to love! :)

  2. These animals are all so cute! When is the pattern coming, I can't wait. Will you also include ideas on where you got your fabrics, at least if it's not like Joann's? My local store has some good solid colors in fleece but no prints like the cow or cat, and I am curious what you used for the sheep and the rabbit, it looks curly.

  3. Now I have a quest to find olive green material to make a Yoda.

A sleepy sheep would be nice, but I'm afraid it would end up looking evil instead. I look forward to this pattern set.

  6. Back when you said ..there was one basic body for all the animals..I didn't think it was plausible. Boy was I wrong, I look forward to seeing how you've morphed that body into someone else, each adorable!!

  7. Aww, this one has the wide eyed look all babies get when they just begin to be carried with heads on their parents' shoulders, wondering what is going on, absorbing, recording and perpetually questioning (in their minds of course: they can't talk yet!)
